Maara Ensmann

is a senior in the Math Science Technology Center program at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington. She began dance at Lexington Ballet when she was four and has been studying ballet for fourteen years including a year at Ida Tantsukool in Tartu, Estonia and a year at Ponsonby School of Dance in Auckland, New Zealand. She has performed with the Lexington Ballet in Romeo and Juliet, Cinderella, and The Nutcracker with a variety of roles: a flower, a townsperson, and a rat.

Cassandra Scutchfield

is a senior at Henry Clay High School and has been dancing for 6 years. This is her third season at Lexington Ballet, where she has performed in The Nutcracker, Romeo and Juliet, The Jungle Book, and many more. She has trained in many different styles of dance over the years but has found that ballet is her favorite and is grateful for the opportunities she has at Lexington Ballet. Cassie has also spent two summers studying at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre in New York City, where she further trained in Ballet, Modern, West African, Musical Theatre, and other various styles of dance. Cassie plans to attend Colorado State University, where she’ll study Zoology, as well as Dance. She is excited to be a scholarship finalist for the CSU Dance Department, where she’ll be able to continue her education in both Ballet and Modern dance styles.

Eliza Leaver

is a junior at Lexington Catholic High School. She started her training at age five at the Lexington Ballet and has been dancing for 11 years. Since then, she has danced in many productions such as The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, Alice in Wonderland, My Fair Lady and The Jungle Book. She has also attended summer intensives at the Lexington Ballet and master classes under the instruction of Elizabeth Wallace, Janessa Touchet, Dr. Mel Tomlinson, and Sergey Rayevskiy. In 2016 Eliza was blessed to be a Kathryn Moody Scholarship recipient. The following year she was an apprentice with Jeana Klevene’s Allegro Dance Project and performed in their contemporary show In Our Element. Eliza is looking forward to another great season and would like to thank her Lexington Ballet family for their guidance and encouragement.

Peyton Soch

is currently a Sophomore at School for the Creative and Performing Arts, SCAPA Lafayette High School. This is Peyton’s 10th season with the LBC and she has performed in many productions of The Nutcracker as well as My Fair Lady, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and others. She would like to thank Mr. D & Miss Nancy for all their support over the years.

Anna Keren Kinghorn

is a freshman. She has been a student at the Lexington Ballet since 2010, after she moved to Kentucky from England where she began ballet at age 3. Anna Keren has spent every summer dancing at all of the Lexington Ballet intensives in addition to an American Ballet Theater intensive at the University of Alabama in 2016, and Bolshoi Connecticut Ballet Intensives in both 2017 and 2018. She has also been involved in an exchange with a Danish Royal Ballet School in Holstebro, Denmark for five weeks in the autumn of 2016 and their summer intensive in 2018 and enjoyed hosting three of their students for Lexington Ballet intensives. Anna Keren is a church pianist and serious piano student of Dr. Barbara Rogers, following study with Dr. Mami Hayashida, developing a skill her ballet instructors feel contributes to her dance development. She also networks in her hometown of Mt. Sterling in the studio of Mrs. Kelly Fritts Cook. Anna Keren wishes to thank her ballet instructors Nancy and Luis Dominguez and the Lexington Ballet family whom she dearly loves.

Joanna Johnson

is currently a sophomore at Scott County High School. She has been dancing with The Lexington Ballet for 10 years. Some of her favorite shows that she’s participated in include The Nutcracker, Cinderella, and Romeo and Juliet. Joanna has attended several summer intensives and master classes with the training of Elena Dominguez, Mel Tomlinson, Janessa Touchet, and others. She is excited for this season and is thankful for the continuous support from her teachers and family.

Allison Kimmerer

is age 15 and has been studying at Lexington Ballet for the past two years. She has attended summer intensives at Lexington Ballet Company, Kentucky Ballet Theater and for the past two summers she attended the summer intensive at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. She has competed at YAGP for the past several years, performing Bluebird variation from Swan Lake, Harlequinade and L'Esmeralda along with contemporary solos. She began dancing ballet, tap, and jazz at age two and she attended Gotta Dance Studio for thirteen years. She performed as Alice and Glinda in recital productions of Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz.

Moe Yamaguchi

is in eighth grade at Sayre School. She started ballet at age 8 in Tokyo, Japan and this is her fourth year with Lexington Ballet. Over the summer of 2018 she participated in the Royal Ballet School in Holstebro, Denmark and Lexington Ballet summer intensive program. She has also attended master classes under Mr. David Reuille. She performed in the The Nutcracker, Alice in Wonderland, and Cinderella. Moe would like to thank Mr. D, Ms. Nancy and the other Lexington Ballet families for support through the years.

Lilly Hardwick

is a graduate of the School for the Creative and Performing Arts, SCAPA, and currently a freshman at Lexington Catholic High School. This is her thirteenth year dancing in Lexington and seventh year dancing with the Lexington Ballet. She has performed in Lexington Ballet’s production of Copp&‌eacute;lia, Alice in Wonderland, Snow White, Romeo and Juliet, Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Jungle Book, and numerous productions of The Nutcracker. Lilly would like to thank her Lexington Ballet family for all of their encouragement and support.

Liv Sailors

is a freshman in high school. She began pre-ballet at age 4 and has been with the Lexington Ballet since age 8. She's also a piano student. Summer Intensives attended include Lexington Ballet under Rachel Mazur in 2014 and Joffrey Ballet NYC in 2017. Master Class Series: Lexington Ballet under Janessa Touchet in 2015 and David Reuille in 2018. Workshops: Alvin Ailey in both 2017 and 2018. Master Classes: Lexington Ballet under Sergey Rayevskiy in 2018, Broadway Dance Center NYC under Barry Kerollis in 2018, Pineapple Studios in London under Emma Northmore in 2018, and Coffee Mill Studio in Key West under Mary Kay Cottrill and Joey Goodman in 2017. Liv has performed in many Lexington Ballet productions, a few of her favorites are The Nutcracker, Coppélia, and Alice in Wonderland. Liv would like to thank Luis and Nancy Dominguez for their incomparable instruction and support.

Addison Goan

is a junior at School for the Creative and Performing Arts, SCAPA, at Lafayette High School, where she majors in vocal music. She began dancing more seriously at Blackbird Dance Theater at the age of twelve in the styles of Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Ballet, and Hip Hop. At Blackbird she has performed in numerous shows, including Ugly, v.1-5, Metamorphoses, Romeo and Juliet, Cyrcus, The Wiz, and Cats. During the summer of 2018, she trained at the Ailey School in New York City. This is her first season at Lexington Ballet, and she is thrilled to see what the next two years hold.
