Class schedule: 90 minutes, 5-6 days per week. Registration for Levels 4-6 includes all classes listed in the table.

Class placement: by evaluation.

Ballet Level 4

Students are challenged to concentrate while using proper alignment of the back, arms, legs and head. Students will begin more complex petit allegro combinations and multiple turns, with more emphasis on grand allegro.

Ballet Level 5

Students will develop mental and physical stamina. New goals will include multiple pirouettes, speed during petite allegro, continue to focus and attention to proper execution of ballet technique. Students may start pointe at this level upon instructor recommendation.

Ballet Level 6

Student's continue to work on the proper execution of their technique and work on building their extension's, strength, speed and stamina. Usually, pointe work has started at this level so they will begin working on pointe more often.

New Students may try the first week of classes risk free by selecting the "Trial" option at the end of the registration form. Tuition payment is deferred until actual enrollment.

Tuition Payment Plans are available for fall and spring full-semester classes. Refer to the payment terms in the registration form.

Dress Code and Calendar

Uniforms are specified for each semester class level. Please refer to the Dress Code for details. Students should wear street clothes over leotards when travelling to and from class.

Location of Lexington Ballet is in the LexArts Arts Place building in the heart of Lexington's vibrant Art's district. We are conveniently located just a step from Lexington's finest restaurants, galleries, coffee shops, parks, and Lexington Farmer's Market.

Parking is free on all downtown streets on weekends and after 5:00PM weekdays. Open spaces are often available within 1 block on Church St, Short St. 2nd St, and Market St. Paid public parking is located next to Arts Place, as well as other locations on N. Mill St and on Short St.

Important Dates Please refer to the online Calendar for class schedules and event updates. Holiday and inclement weather closures will be communicated via email.

Parent Observation Classes are scheduled one week each semester. Parents may sit in studio -- don't forget the camera!

Performances

Performance Opportunities for full-time students in levels 1-8 are offered with the Lexington Ballet Company as an extra-curricular activity. Performances are voluntary and participation time is eligible for community service hours. There are no additional fees or costume purchases required. Students must attend all scheduled rehearsals and parents are asked to volunteer.
The student-participation performances will be The Nutcracker and the spring performance.
Additional performance information and volunteer sign-ups will be discussed at a Parents Meeting prior to rehearsals.

Parent Performance Meeting will be scheduled once per semester. Attendance is required for parents of Level 1-3 and new students in other levels. Please refer to the Student-Parent Handbook for additional information.

Rehearsals are typically Saturday afternoons, Oct-Nov, Mar-Apr. Additional rehearsals will be scheduled on evenings of the performance week. Check the calendar for specific details for each role, cancellations, and rehearsal updates.

Recreational Schedule

Students may opt to register for a part-time schedule at a reduced price. Part-time students may not participate in performances.
