INTERMEDIATE BALLET

Students are challenged to concentrate while using proper alignment of the back, arms, legs and head. Students will begin more complex petit allegro combinations and multiple turns, with more emphasis on grand allegro.

Level 4

The exercises on this level aim to develop and strengthen proper alignment of the back, arms, legs and head. Accuracy during petit allegro combinations, longer Adagios and multiple turns, with more emphasis on grand allegro. Lengthening the body and being able to split the legs and articulate the feet. Students may start pointe work at this level. Students will continue to develop their ballet vocabulary.

Level 5

New goals  include improving the proper execution of multiple pirouettes, increasing speed musicality and proper phrasing of ballet technique 

Mondays: 4:30-6:45pm

Tuesdays: 4:30-6:00pm

Thursdays: 4:30-6:00pm

Fridays: 4:30-7:00pm

Level 6

Students continue to work on the proper execution of their technique and work on building their extensions, strength, speed and stamina. Increased pointe work at this level, students may be asked to wear their pointe shoes for some technique classes.  Higher extensions are focused on while keeping proper placement, increased adagio work. Developing artistry and conviction of movement (accents, phrasing).
